This elephant-themed clock was requested as a Mother's Day gift. I'm waiting for the clock mechanism to arrive. The slate base is 350mm x 250mm, polished and satin-finished in black. The engraving machine is an Ikier K1 ultra 36watt, with a 0-12% pitch at 7400mm/minute. Images were processed and edited with Photoshop at 212 dpi. The passthrough engraving was done with a laser cutter.
I'm really proud of this little masterpiece. I edited it in ImagR as follows: Noise Reduction 30, Auto Sharpening 2, Color Correction, Brightness 14, Contrast 35, Gamma 1.00. Material: Kasia wood. It took an impressive 2 hours () with the following settings: Engraving: 4800/30%, Cutting: 400/80%, Wood: 8mm plywood, Laser: iKier K1 Ultra 36W
I'm very pleased with the result. Anyway, triple cut. 40 hours of engraving in total. 3 layers per piece, with 3 different engraving thicknesses, A4-sized plywood (297x210mm). Approximate final size of 840x600mm. Now I need to refine the outline with the frame in the photo and add some color. I'll update with more photos...
